Sentencing to take place on October 8.

Anybody know the latest disposition of things? Has Schifter been sentenced yet?

I always knew there was something awkward with Mark. Just in conversations with Lynn, you could easily pick up that they were up to something. I always felt that he was a big bullshitter, but you know, he was signing my checks so I didnt say shit.

It all started with I seen first hand the creation of the MFW15 sub. LOL you would have laughed your ass off. Marks focus was always on our hard earned greenies.. he didnt give 2 shits about the construction of them. And quite frankly, they came out like shit. I sees the X-Voce and X-Statik come together. Shitty veneer and all. Cracked mounting holes, cracked crossovers, all sorts of misc screws, stupid shit. Like lets cut this corner cause we can kinda shit. Fail imo..

Then Mark at Audiofest LOL. This guy is such a scam. The way he was just prancing around in the rooms made some people uneasy and wonder about his products. I was with many we interviewed later about the sound quality... many said it was absolute garbage. Others just thought the definition wasnt there. Many even started having ideas of starting their own audio company, if this shit is what people wanted. Some thought it was average, with very very few, saying I like them.

When I first met MLS, I knew there was something about him. It reminded me of another guy I used to work for. Had the same stupid/intellectual wording that rolls around in their head and comes out in text or their mouth. Its like constant dodging and bad promises. Schifting in fact. I watched as AV1gay3 and AVSforum was blowing up over these raffles, and when seeing some of the inventory that was in stock, I quickly realized he was again making bad promises. Never once has there been anything in stock that anyone wanted. Only junk, and a LOT of broken shit. PALLETS AND PALLETS of SHIT, up to the ceiling in fact, of one bad promise after the next. And sadly many have been in this hellhole for years. What a piece of shit.

Anyways, there is MUCH MUCH better audio products out there. Losing sleep over this shithole is plain worthless. Im glad his BITCHASS is going through hell. He put MANY in pain and its finally in favor of the people to bitchslap his ass out of society. I hope he gets a LONG sentence and rots in jail.

As far as CS and MLS are concerned there is a relationship there. Hopefully one that, from a business perspective, CS has distanced himself from. Now if he wants to maintain a friendship with MLS after all this has come to light, well that is his personal business to tend to.

No it takes class to let a thread like that run considering that they are part of the audio industry.

Certainly the thread at AH was useful although I'm not sure I would accuse any thread in the The Steam Vent, nor indeed AH in general, of having "class".

I have yet to see the slightest evidence that CS has done anything illegal or immoral. His business dealings and his friendship with MLS are both his "personal business".  Many people had business relationships with MLS and have not been tainted by them.  I also had business dealings with MLS:  I bought his product.

Certainly Craig has a knack for rubbing people the wrong way.  I rather think he enjoys it.  Everyone is certainly free to dislike him.  Still, in the absence of the slightest proof I don't see the reason for the  implied slander.

I chose the first but it wouldn't surprise me if he did the chest pains thing. After all, he's infamous for his medical conditions. I'd hate to see the prick kick it though. I want to know that every month he's writing checks to the court to pay off his debt or that when he's short, he sells another one of his mega-buck watches. With luck all the others who are looking to get their money will get it when the house is foreclosed. The thing I don't get, is how come that nutso Jason Serinus never alerted the media seeing that he's psychic and regularly connects with his psychic friends. The bastard!

I think he's gonna pull a Michael Jackson and show up late in his pajamas after being rushed to the hospital, so I chose the last option.

Sorry to hear. Latest that I know of WRT legal matters is that he has a court date tomorrow, the 13^th at 1pm which ought to wrap matters up. Court clerk said it had to do with the plea deal but no info on what that is as it's a matter discussed between the attorneys and the judge has no input. The judge does have to approve it (or not) when it's been agreed to. Might know something afterwards if the clerk picks up the phone.

On other matters, I understand that Longmont will/has closed up shop and operations have moved to some sort of an office. Supposedly he does have someone to make cabinets in the CO area but I don't know who. Also, I have no idea if drivers/crossovers have been worked on. For all the bullshit Mark said, Danny said not too long ago he had yet to do crossover development on the LS-4. You know, it wouldn't surprise me if he found a white van distributor and is going to rip the drivers and crossovers out of those and place them into boxes he made. Kind of like reverse engineering.

Also, folks have found out that if they're out of state, small claims can all be filed online and the matter heard over the phone. That's already happened once and MLS didn't show up which means he lost. Collecting the money is another matter.

He's still facing foreclosure on both his primary and secondary mortgages. I've heard his wife has moved into the basement and she's renting the rest of the house to one of her daughter's. Maybe that will be enough to pay off the arrears if she gets some kind of a job.
